Additional Loads Tab
Additional point and partially distributed loads can be added to the beam in addition to the area loadings already applied on the Floor Information tab.
Up to 11 point loads can be added to the beam by entering their positions from the start of the beam, along with the separate dead, live and superimposed dead loading in kN. Additional Partially Distributed loads can also be included where the start and finish dimensions of the loads are entered in kN/m.

Additional Point Loads
Load (kN)
The total magnitude of the concentrated force.
X (m)
The position of the point load, measured as a distance from the start of the beam.
Dead
The portion of the point load representing permanent self-weight or dead actions.
Live
The portion of the point load representing variable imposed (live) actions.
Super
The portion of the point load representing superimposed dead loads, such as permanent fixtures or finishes.
Additional Partial Loads
Load (kN/m)
The intensity of the distributed load over the specified length.
X1 (m)
The starting dimension of the load, measured from the start of the beam.
X2 (m)
The finishing dimension of the load, measured from the start of the beam.
Dead, Live, Super
These define the intensity of the load (in kN/m) for each respective load category (Dead, Live, or Superimposed Dead), consistent with the definitions used for point loads.
