Concrete Pad Foundation Design
MasterKey: Concrete Design also performs Concrete Pad Foundation designs to EuroCode 2, BS 8110 or SABS 0100.
MasterSeries 2023 introduces the Eurocode 7 'Direct Method' to the Concrete Pad Foundation's design capabilities.
The 'Direct Method' works out a ULS bearing capacity for the soil taking into account various loading factors, material factors and specific soil properties, to work out a more accurate bearing capacity for the soil. Alternatively the 'Prescriptive Method' may still be used, which takes user defined, presumed bearing resistances for the capacity of the soil in the serviceability limit states, for the controlling of the settlement of the foundation.
Features of the MasterSeries Concrete Pad Foundation include
- Rectangular & Square Pads with Bi-Axial Loading
- Bearing Checks using the Eurocode Direct or Prescriptive Method Design Approaches
- Bi-Axial moment with partial uplift
- Bi-Axial Eccentric Columns
- Concrete tension considered in uplift
- Full Uplift Design
- Detailed Punching Shear Checks
- Mass Concrete Bases
- Column Starter Bars
- Stand alone Pad designer included
